This child from the Kinsuka neighbourhood in Kinshasa is part of a poor family who makes a living from stone-breaking. The blackboard images in the background symbolise the education that she will never have, as she has already left school. This denouncement of inequality goes hand-in-hand with a tribute to the poor, anonymous, forgotten and despised.
