As the 2021 winner of the Maison Ruinart Prize, awarded each year to an emerging artist with the support of the Picto Foundation as part of Paris Photo, Gosette Lubondo was invited to undertake an arts residency in Champagne. She produced the Manu Solerti series (meaning “an expert hand”), a title that conveys both the age-old dimension of the know-how and the expertise of the men and women involved in making champagne.
