This highly-awaited exhibition will open its doors on 1 April 2022 at the Texaf-Bilembo cultural centre in Kinshasa.

Gosette Lubondo is set to have her first solo retrospective in the capital of DRC, two years after the exhibition was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition focuses on time, the key dimension of the photographer’s work. Alongside successful previous series, Tango nde mokonzi (“Time is king“) will showcase her brand-new series shot in Gbadolite, inside the ruins of President Mobutu’s jungle palace.

From series to series, Gosette Lubondo unwinds the thread of memory that connects her entire work. This unmissable major exhibition will provide a magnificent overview of her work.
