Kura Shomali drew his inspiration from a shot by the South African photographer Santu Mokofeng (Soweto, 1985) to create a colourful sapeur. Let’s imagine. This guy has just got paid. He is happy, puts on his finest clothes, fills his stunning designer bag, leaves his family behind, and treats himself to a short trip to Mombasa, not without proudly getting us to witness him while he is about it.
