Kura Shomali pays tribute to the "king of the blues" who gave a memorable concert in Kinshasa in 1974, on the occasion of the famous boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Shomali depicts King with simplicity, using his favoured technique of collage, and in this way paying tribute to the musician, by deliberately restricting his often highly colourful palette, and placing particular emphasis on the face by using decoupage.
