The best way to paradise in childhood is play. This is what Tsimba seems to be telling us with these two children who are playing. This work seems to break with his sculptures of busts paying tribute to conflict victims. However, Tsimba’s fundamental aim is to celebrate life. By bringing back to life victims killed by gunfire, by making pregnant women central figures in his work, and here by paying tribute to the sheer joy of childhood.
