We are delighted to announce that Angalia is now representing Ngule Freeman.
This gifted, self-taught artist got himself noticed at the age of 20 with a striking self-portrait called Futur obscur. This will be the first drawing in a series on Congolese society in which Freeman depicts, in a hyperrealist fashion, the wide variety of feelings and ways of life of young people in Kinshasa: addiction, jealousy, their search for an identity, etc. At the same time, he is starting a series of portraits of leading Congolese artists.
Ngule Freeman’s work will be showcased by Angalia at the next AKAA on 21-23 October in Paris.
