The exhibition presents a gallery of portraits produced between 2008 and 2023 by twelve artists from Congo-Kinshasa, two of whom are being presented for the first time by the gallery.
From portraits of great popular figures to political portraits and portraits exploring social or intimate subjects, the works selected perpetuate a very old and prolific genre, which photography has not made disappear.
Don’t miss this opportunity to discover the work of ceramist Stanis Mbwanga, unseen in France, and the paintings of Eli Made, a young painter with a rare technique, exhibited for the first time outside the Congo.
