If you are good enough, you are old enough. Ngule Freeman embodied the saying by making a name for himself at the age of 19 with a striking graphite pencil self-portrait. Angalia will showcase his first solo show in Paris from 30 January to 24 February 2024.
Eleven artworks created over the 2019-2024 period will be shown. Most of them will then be going into a private collection in Basle. Above and beyond his technical prowess, Ngule Freeman offers a view of Congolese society, particularly the way of life and feelings of young people in Kinshasa.
