Angalia gallery inaugurates its Parisian walls with the group exhibition CONGO / Passé composé. After eleven years of online activity and participation in fairs, Angalia moves to 10-12 rue des Coutures Saint Gervais in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris.

The exhibition presents a selection of works related to the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo. It shows how the ten Congolese artists presented approach the history of their country in their work. All the works are recent (2008-2023), except for a group of photographs dating from the 1970s. While most evoke specific events, some are more intended to capture the climate of an era.
