JP Mika is exhibiting his work until 30 November 2019 at the Magnin-A gallery in Paris’ 11th arrondissement. The exhibition’s title, Bisengo, vividly sets the tone. Bisengo means joy! The works are inspired, cheerful, malicious and tender. The colourful exhibition brings a smile to the faces of visitors. However, the floral backgrounds and happy subjects would not be enough in themselves without the essentials: inventiveness, the highly original touch, and this incredibly personal and quite simply unrivalled tone. The utmost care taken by the artist, including with the smallest details, tops it off. JP Mika is at the very peak of his powers in this joyful exhibition. A not-to-be-missed event.
