In 2017 and 2018 Amani Bodo painted four "sapeurs" (dandies) posing with birds. He achieves a level of excellence depicting this subject for which he has a fondness. Playing on the similarity between the birds’ feathers and dressing-up, he gives free rein to his creativity and his talent as a colourist.
